Very clean/hidden, controlled by smartphone app, and incredibly effective with extensive customizable settings via laptop and USB thumb drive to upload settings profiles. They offer regular firmware updates over the air through your smartphone. I've had this setup since July 2018 and have yet to get pulled over. This is what I need I really need a jammer I think. Currently just using the Gel 2 V1 but I am finding myself speeding more and more in these pandemic days. The tollways in Dallas are wide open and I feel like it is a shame to just let them be and meander around at 80 mph. Granted I am not going ape shit but do take the M up to 110 MPH. Jammers are illegal in TX so not sure what the penalty is for getting busted with one. I assure you that the penalty for jammers is less than the speeding ticket. The HW1 CPU also isnât compatible with the RG3 module used by the Net Radar. However, I don't know if it's cheaper than the $4-6k to put in a full system front and rear. You have to use an RG (radar/GPS) module. It seems like I'll have to spend up to $6K to get true protection. ![]() I am going to start shopping around this week. Found a great legal write up (a bit dated but I believe it still applies to us Texans): It is a Class C misdemeanor in TX - fines not to exceed $400 (seems low). Without knowing Texas law, that sounds about right based on other states. Also it's usually an equipment violation (0 points non-moving ticket) kinda like a parking ticket. Versus a speeding ticket that will skyrocket your insurance for years to come. The average 15+ mph speeding ticket will increase your insurance $5000 over 5-7 years. I researched the laser jammers installed systems and the quotes I got were $500-1500 for just labor to move them from 1 car to a similar vehicle with price adjustment for sports cars (Lamborghini, Ferrari) vs basic cars (Ford, Honda).
